Be Your Own Sport Fan

Hello and hope all is well!

Do you want to unleash your passion? Do you want to start a business? Do you want to expand your business? Do you want to make a difference by having a nonprofit? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then let’s go! Yes, let’s go!

One sure way to unleash you passion, start your business, expand your business and/or make a difference, you have to become a Sport FAN. You have to become your own Sport FAN.

Characteristics of a Sport FAN:

  1. A sport fan has many paraphernalia (jersey, hats, cup, coat, frame, etc.)
  2. A sport fan knows their team’s record
  3. A sport fan is a fan for life (win or lose)
  4. A sport fan will attend a game when the weather is below zero or in a heat wave
  5. A sport fan knows the entire team and their role

The above characteristics of a Sport FAN are just what you need to do.

Now, let’s see how becoming your own Sport FAN will help you unleash your passion, business, and/or nonprofit:

  1. You need to showcase your passion, business, cause, etc. with paraphernalia. Spread the word about what you are doing using paraphernalia (business card, brochures, social media, website, bracelet, pictures etc.).
  2. When someone asks you about your business, passion, cause, etc. you need to be able to recite your track record at the drop of a dime.  Do you have an Annual report and/or highlights as to what you have done?
  3. When times are rough, you have to push through it continue moving forward. As Frederick Douglas says, there is no progress without struggle. Just like a sport’s fan, win or lose the FAN is always there!
  4. When you don’t feel like typing up a blog, making a call to a potential customer, feeding the homeless, conducting research, checking emails, you have to put on your game face, cheer yourself on and do it. The seeds that you plant now will indeed bloom into the most eye catching scenery later. Think about the reaction of a fan when their team wins the Super bowl.
  5. Whether you have volunteers, paid contractors, consultants, or staff, you need to know their role. This is your passion, business and/or nonprofit, so you have to know the role of each player.

Unleashing the Sport Fan that is inside of you, will allow you to accomplish your goal.

Are you ready to be your own Sport Fan (BYOSF)?

Enjoy your day!

I like the analogy used in this blog post about becoming our own Sport FAN for achieving goals.
